Toronto’s Standard Shop has just added Bocci to its carefully curated portfolio, bringing the Vancouver-based studio’s acclaimed lighting designs to the city. Known for its innovative glassblowing techniques and sculptural artistry, Bocci has earned a global reputation for creating lighting collections that are pure visual poetry. To celebrate this exciting addition, we’re highlighting five of our favourite series from the design studio—plus one unexpected object that showcases Bocci’s creative ingenuity.
28 Series, 28.1.
28 Series
A testament to Bocci’s innovative glassblowing techniques, the 28 Series features irregularly shaped orbs with captivating interior voids. Available in over 90 colorways and countless configurations, this series transforms lighting into art—striking as a single pendant or a bold installation.
14 Series
Timeless and understated, the 14 Series casts a warm, diffused glow through its signature cast glass orbs. Some might recognize this design through Bocci’s recent collaboration with Aesop, where the studio reimagined the portable 14p by incorporating the skincare brand’s iconic amber glass—an iconic design in the making.
76 Series
This collection showcases Bocci lighting at its most innovative, fusing glass and copper mesh into layered, sculptural forms. With each piece uniquely crafted, this collection offers a dynamic interplay of texture and transparency for truly standout lighting.
38V Series
This line includes a stylish table lamp that features striking glass spheres and lush pockets for plants. These sculptural pendants blur the line between lighting and greenery, creating a living, breathing centrepiece that’s equal parts functional and artistic.
100 Series
The 100 Series is Bocci lighting at its boldest, featuring interlocking glass orbs shaped by a team of artisans. In black, the dramatic clusters become even more striking, exuding a sculptural elegance that commands attention in any space.
84 Series
Crafted by Bocci’s interdisciplinary studio, the 84 vessel features feathery puffs of white or coloured glass emerging through delicate copper mesh. Encased in clear glass, its multifaceted interior creates the illusion of a flash-frozen billow of smoke—an ethereal, sculptural centrepiece.
